I get to see Waterdeep in concert Tuesday night. This is doubly sweet because they are my favorite band, and they don't tour anymore. But they are doing a one week tour with the Robbie Seay Band (who I haven't heard, but have heard great things about) and they are coming to Franklin, TN (Nashville area). It is just Don and Lori Chaffer, and they are only playing about 4 or 5 songs, but I am excited about it anyway. And it is free, so easily worth it. Woohoo!!

no STINKING way!!!! It's just not fair. *sigh*. Well, at least I did see them when they were at ACU a few years back...before they became your favorite band, right???
I can't remember...did Joel and I introduce you to WD? or did you find them some other way?
If I'm not mistaken, this concert with Don and Lori should be introducing some of the songs from the new "Please don't make me sing this song" (or something like that) album. I desperately want it, of course, so you'll have to tell me all about it. Feel free to send me an email about it, or to just post the concert play by play in another blog post with "to make Jessica jealous" pt. 2.
By the way, I loved being in a blog title post. That's the first time that's happened!!! I was like, wow, Tim must know another Jessica. Then I read about waterdeep and was like, NOPE, it's ME!!!(=
Have a great time on Tuesday night.
Rock extra hard for us, since we won't be able to make it!

(you'll notice that there are several deleted comments. Those are mine...I kept writing "Paul and Lori" who are friends that run an online marriage website, instead of Don and Lori. ARg. Must be because I was so distraught about missing the concert *grin*)
Yes, I have you to thank for introducing me to Waterdeep. It was on the way to Possum Kingdom (where on of Waterdeep's albums was recorded) with Greg, Shay, and Melanie for our Thanksgiving hot dogs, icy cold night, and my talking farts. (The talking fart story makes great youth ministry material.) On the way Joel put on Everyone's Beautiful and had me listen to "Hush" and Psalm 131. My initial response was "that's pretty good I guess." Then I borrowed the CD, then the concert came and you let me borrow "Sink or Swim" then my friend Mark let me borrow "To Chase Away the Birds". They quickly rose to become my favorite band, although I didn't admit it till about three years ago. But they are by far my favorite band. I just hope they keep coming out with stuff.
Also, I have a couple of bootlegs from them, which are free to distribute, so I can get them to you if you would like me to. It's a CD of "rarities" called Uncharted Waters. I also have a Cornerstone Festival performance, and a couple other things I think.
