I usually just try to figure things out on the fly, and photobucket is no exception. I had forgotten that I can post pictures from there for awhile, but when I remembered I uploaded a few. The car one was the first, and it was big. I didn't notice you could pick sizes till later. I forgot it was that big. I was looking at my blog and realized I have this huge picture of my car and a regular size one of Macie. Her's should be big.
Macie is great, of course. I have gotten to hold her, but she has yet to meet me because she has been asleep the 3 times I have seen her. But it was great holding her, and very easy at less than 7 pounds. I just put my arm against my belly, let her head rest in my elbow, and she slept. Now that she is a few days old, she is changing from that red color to whatever her skin tone will be, so she does look a little odd now with her blotchy skin. But she does have a very normally shaped head.
And in much less important news, I did get my new car on Thursday. The way things worked out hitting the deer has been a blessing. Hitting it felt like hitting a large bump (actually I have hit bumps that were much more jarring) because Alice took all the impact. She was totaled out for about $1,500 more than I owed, which means I can use that to get tax, title, and license on my new car, pay off a credit card, and start actually saving a bit of money, oh, and pay whatever the defensive driving cost will be on the speeding ticket I got Monday, but that will be a different post. My car payment, while being locked in for 2 more years has gone down $50 a month and has a 3% lower interest rate. And that new car is a 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback that is as of yet unnamed. It is the same car only it is this color of two tone instead of this color of two tone. Oh, and it only has 65,900 miles on it. That means it rides and drives much better than Alice and gets about 4 more miles to a gallon, but then 140,000 miles will do that to a car. I found it in St. Louis on autotrader. I bought it for $1,000 less than retail value. So I am paying less on a car that is worth much more. I like the way that worked out.
Okay, enough about cars till I figure out its name. Much more on Macie coming up, and the speeding ticket.
